Adel Asrawi is the Legal Director at Murillo Romero Abogados, S.C. She holds a degree in Law with a specialization in International Public Law from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Master’s degree in International Maritime Law with distinction from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI).

Adel previously worked as Technical Officer to International Organizations at the Mexican Embassy in the United Kingdom, serving as Legal Advisor to the Mexican Delegation to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the International Maritime Satellite Organization (IMSO), and the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPC Funds).

Before her position in London, Adel was an Associate at FDMA in Mexico City and completed an internship at the General Directorate of Port Development and Administration within the General Coordination of Ports and Merchant Marine.

She is a member of WISTA UK, the Mexican Maritime Law Association, the Ibero-American Institute of Maritime Law, the IMO Gender Network “IMOGENDER,” and the MAMLa Network.
